Chromium is an essential trace element. The active ingredient in the tablets is derived from chromium picolinate, an organic chromium source consisting of chromium and picolinic acid.

Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels. Chromium is found in many foods, such as meat, fish, legumes, and grains.
